FII & DII activity on 03-04-2012 – FII net buyers in index future to the amount of Rs 541.10 Cr , in index options net buyers to the amount of Rs 248.84 Cr, in stock futures net buyers to the amount of Rs 125.29 Cr & in stock options net buyers to the amount of Rs 16.27 Cr. Overall FII were net buyers by Rs 931.49 Cr.

MARKET NEWS:

• AVIATION: Air India to launch a fuel surcharge system, where the amount a consumer pays for travel would change in tandem with the change in price of aviation turbine fuel.
• CEMENT: Prices in Bihar have surged almost 50% due to a fall in production from one of the biggest suppliers. Improved demand from infrastructure pushed up cement sales in March.
• FERTILISER: The fertiliser ministry is mooting a proposal to raise urea prices by 10%. Government has scrapped the subsidy given to fertiliser companies on secondary movement of phosphatic and potassic fertilisers from 2012-13.
• FMCG: Prices of packaged milk, biscuits, yoghurt, edible oil, hair oil, soaps, balm, and detergent are set to rise 5%-10% over the next couple of months due to input price pressure.
• METALS: The commerce m

• POWER: The steep cut in the rate of depreciation on installation of windmills to 15% of the cost of equipment from 80% is unlikely to deeply mar the prospects of wind turbine makers.
